Willow Chance

This quote tells us more about Willow by showing that the little things in life make a big change in who Willow is. This quote shows that Willow is very interested in and alway will be close to her origins. Even as teen girl she feels that stuff that happened when she was a baby is still important to her character. pg. 10
"I do not hear a single word that they say." This phrase describes Willow by stating that at the time of the lost of her parents she is depressed. At the Chance's memorial service Willow is too sad to function.
"They tell me that life goes on." This quote tells readers who Willow really is at the end of the book. She is no longer dreading the lost of her normal life and is happy enough with what she gets. pg. 3788
"I have given in…but that is different than giving up" This quote tells us that Willow has accepted what has happened. She has accepted that her parents died and now she has to move on. pg. 369
"Early on, I adopted my gardening outfit" This quote from Willow shows how important her gardening outfit is. The author used the word "adopted" because it symbolizes that that outfit will be part of her. She will cherish it for the rest of her life. pg. 20
